Understanding Your Price Tag

Sticker price vs. Actual Cost

Evening & Online (Adult) /financial-aid/evening-and-online-adult#tabsfin
The published cost of college is simply the starting point.

For most adult learners, the published tuition is not the final price. Your actual investment is personalized based on transfer credits, financial aid, employer tuition reimbursement, eligible credit for prior learning and other resources. And while cost per credit matters, the total cost to earn your degree matters more. Because Lakeland’s bachelor’s programs often require fewer total credits than comparable institutions, allowing many students to graduate sooner and reduce their overall investment. Our Admissions and Financial Aid teams will work with you one-on-one to create a personalized degree plan and cost estimate before you enroll.
2027/2028 Tuition $550/credit

Actual Cost

What we’re left with is the actual cost. It is the amount left over after discounts, employer tuition reimbursement, financial aid, etc. have been applied. The cost of Lakeland is different for each student, based on need, and other eligibility criteria; but it is often times significantly less than the original sticker price.

Cooperative Education

Earn academic credit while working in paid positions. Many students use their Co-Op earnings to help pay for college.

Miscellaneous Costs

Cooperative Education

Why separate work from school when you can do both? Eligible adult students can earn academic credit for workplace projects and real-world responsibilities through Lakeland's Cooperative Education program. By earning credit while you work, you can finish your degree sooner, reduce your overall investment and put your education to work from day one.
